"My servant continues to draw near to Me with optional works so that I will love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it." [Bukhari]

Remembrance of Allah is the foundation of good deeds. Whoever succeeds in it is blessed with the close friendship of Allah. Dhikr is a powerful tool to increase our imaan, and connection with Allah Almighty. A few simple words recited routinely can generate enormous benefits for the heart.

Ar-Rukun Mosque organises a monthly dhikr gathering every first Saturday of the month where people will come and recite the famous litany Ratib al-Attas compiled by the great scholar and saint Imam 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-'Attas.
